      Directions

      Film Audit

Who: each stunt group, with a phone. 10 to 15 minutes, first practice of the week.

Groups watch video of their own full ups and grade themselves, so they see what to fix instead of just hearing it.

      • Record: film each group doing 2 or 3 full ups.
      • Watch and check: did they dip together, was the flyer tight, did the rotation start from the ground, did bases catch extended, and did they push through to lock with no hitch?
      • Pick one: the group chooses its single weakest checkpoint. That is its focus for the week.
      • Repeat weekly: film again to see if the focus has changed.

Earn the badge: pick your weakest checkpoint in the Focus dropdown on your group's card.

      Flyer Lab

Who: flyers only, on the ground. 3 minutes.

Flyers practice the twist by themselves so their body is tight and the rotation starts from the ground before anyone lifts them.

      • Ground full turns: straight jump, turn a full 360, land facing front with legs together.
      • Arm snap: back against a wall, snap arms from overhead to a tight wrap at the chest without the body moving.
      • Chin level: eyes stay on the same front spot. A dropped head throws the turn off.
      • Assisted turns: a coach holds the flyer's hips while she jumps into the turn.

Earn the badge: 5 ground fulls in a row that land facing front, legs together.

      Base Lab

Who: bases and back spots, no flyer. 3 minutes, same time as Flyer Lab.

Bases and back spots practice timing and catch height together so the push is one smooth drive.

      • Dip and drive: load and push with no flyer, counting out loud "1-2-down-up." Every knee bends and extends together.
      • Catch height: the back spot drops a foam block from above and bases catch it with arms fully extended and locked, never bending down to meet it.
      • Back spot control: steady, even pressure at the ankles or hips. Guide, never pull.

Earn the badge: 3 clean silent-count timing reps, judged by a coach.

      Ladder Climb

Who: full stunt groups together. 6 minutes.

Groups put the pieces back together one step at a time. Each rung is a smaller version of the full up.

      • Start: every group begins on Rung 1, full up to prep.
      • Move up: 3 clean hits in a row earns the next rung. Tap "Clean hit" after each good rep.
      • Reset: 2 misses in a row drops the group one rung. Get 3 clean and climb back.
      • Finish: 3 clean full up 1 1/4s in a row earns the trophy.
      • Safety: trained spotters stay in place for Rungs 3 and 4.

A "clean hit" means: dipped together, flyer tight, caught extended with arms locked, no hitch or dip at the catch.

Keep trained spotters in place for rungs 3 and 4, and stop progressing a group that shows fatigue. Saving on this device ·
