2026 Winter Blast​

2026 DJHS Cheer Competition, February 1, 2025

When/Where:
The competition will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025
8300 Hyland-Croy Rd, Dublin Ohio 43016 

Times:
Doors open for team registration at 11am.
Spectators may enter beginning at 1pm.

Divisions:
  • Youth/Rec
  • Middle School (small and large) Game Day Non-Building and Building, Traditional Non-Building and Building
  • Junior Varsity Game Day Non-Building and Building, Traditional Non-Building and Buildin
  • Varsity Game Day Non-Building and Building, Traditional Non-Building and Buildin

Music:
Each squad is responsible for their own music. Please have someone at the music table when your team is “in the hole.” We have the capability to play a CD or through an auxiliary input.
**All music must meet the criteria set into place by USA Cheer. You may be asked to provide a copy of your license agreement for your music.**


Warm ups/Performance Area:
All squads will compete on a full foam cheer floor that consists of 9 strips. Makeup and hair products should be applied in the locker room or bathrooms ONLY. No glitter!

Each team will receive a  12 minute warmup in the warm-up gym on one 9 panel mat for the duration of the 12 min.
Performance floor will be on a 9 panel flat mat.

Concessions:
Concession stands will be available throughout the day in the lobby outside of the gym

Admission:
Adults: $8.00
Students/Seniors: $6.00
Children under 5: Free

Entrances:
Team Entrance will be at the doors on the Hyland-Croy Ride of the building
Spectator Entrance will be on the Brand Road Side of the building.

T-Shirts:
T Shirts will be sold the day of the competition. Limited quantity of sizes available. Shirts are $20/each. 

Routine Information:
Cheer Division:  Team routines must not exceed a total of 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The routine should include 1 cheer or 1 sideline and a music portion. The music portion of the routine must not exceed 1 minute and 30 seconds. Timing begins with the first word or beat of music. Setting up signs or other props, getting in line and non-organized spirited entry will not be timed. 

Gameday Division:  Gameday routines must not exceed a total of 3 minutes. The routine must consist of a band chant, situational sideline, crowd cheer and fight song.


Registration Information and Fees:
Cheer/Gameday:     $15/competitor
Crossover athletes:    $8/competitor (for the additional routine)

Up to 3 coaches will be admitted free of charge with each team. Any additional coaches or parent volunteers must pay spectator admission price.
